WebPasties Newsletter

Hey Everybody,

I'd like to let you know about some exciting updates to my WebPasties service.

Form-Mail

First, I would like to introduce you to the Form-Mail pastie. What is cool about the Form-Mail pastie is it makes it it easy for customers to contact you while at the same time making it difficult for spammers to contact you. If you are already using it, check out the new feature which gives you the ability to customize the size of your Form-Mail's comment area.

News Ticker Enhancements

The WebPasties News Ticker pastie now lets you have more than one RSS feeds show up in your News Ticker. Check out this How To which explains how to do have more than one RSS feed in one News Ticker.

In addition, the News Ticker has a new feature which lets you display the publication date for each news item in your News Ticker.

Web Poll Enhancements

The Web Poll pastie now gives you the ability to make it behave similar to a polling station. This means you can have a single computer whereby people stand in line and vote one after the other. An audio clip is played after each vote which keeps everybody honest. Check out the How To for step by step instructions on how to use this feature. To be honest, at first, I was hesitant in adding this feature, but after I heard it was for a third grade class I caved in.

Moreover, you can now tell the Web Poll to not display the total votes cast for a poll. This gives you the ability to keep secret the number of votes cast from you visitors until you feel comfortable.

Slideshow Enhancements

You can now modify the font size for the text in your Slideshow. Furthermore, for you bloggers, I have written a How To document explaining how to display a Slideshow in a TypePad blog.

By the way, if there is enough interest, I am thinking about adding a feature to the Slideshow pastie which allows you to upload images to it directly from your desktop. Please let me know your feelings on this by visiting my poll at WebPasties.

Visit Trackers Enhancements

The Visit Tracker has gotten smarter in that it now recognizes 3 additional operating systems and 2 new robots.

Six Months Free Offer

Are you a paid subscriber? Would you like to get an additional six months service for FREE. To qualify, all that is needed is to be a paying subscriber and agree to show a WebPasties banner prominently on your website. What's Next ?

I am currently working on an Event Calendar pastie. This pastie will permit you to post events in a calendar from which you can then display on your website. The pastie will automatically show events that are coming up and not show past events. If you have any of your own ideas of what you would like in an Event Calendar please let me know soon so I can get your feature in.

After the Event Calendar, I plan to create one of the following pasties.
  • Ranking pastie ( Like )
  • FAQ pastie (Easy to update and will be collapsible like this page)
  • Survey pastie
  • HTML Area pastie (Easy to update block of HTML in a webpage)
I am not sure which one I will create next, so please help me out and vote for the one you would want most with the poll I have set up for you.

Send us your feedback
As always, I welcome any and all feedback. Most of the features you see above have come as a direct result of requests by people like you. Please feel free to send me your comments or suggestions at .

I appreciate your participation, and look forward to continuing to help you add new and compelling components to your webpages or blogs.

Sincerely,

Bill Bercik
