How to Display a Slideshow Inside Your TypePad Blog

Have you ever wanted to create a Slideshow inside your TypePad blog but got stuck because TypePad does not have the ability to create a directory with only image files?

This How To describes the steps to get around this limitation of TypePad. To do so we create an account on Yahoo Geocities which does not have this limitation.

Step 1.
If you do not have an account already with Yahoo GeoCities, go to Yahoo GeoCities and create a free account.

Step 2.
Using the GeoCities File Manager, create a directory named images .

Step 3.
Add the images you wish to display in your Slideshow to the images directory you just created.

Step 4.
Create your Slideshow using your GeoCities images directory as the Base URL for your images.

Step 5.
Click the Scan button to test for typos in the URL. Create the Slideshow Pastie

Step 6.
From within TypePad get in HTML mode by selecting the Edit HTML tab.

Step 7. (Final step)
Paste your Slideshow pastie into your HTML code.
