| Thanks to the National Weather Service's experimental RSS feeds it is now possible to use the News Scroller pastie to display current loacl weather information. This How To describes the steps to display the local weather info in your website using the News Scroller pastie. Step 1. Go to the National Weather Service Experimental XML data feeds webpage at http://www.nws.noaa.gov/data/current_obs/ Step 2. Select your state from the dropdown on the webpage above and click the Find button. ![]() Step 3. Find the airport nearest where you live from the list and click on its corresponding RSS link. ![]() Step 4. Copy the URL from the location bar in your web browser ![]() Step 5. Create a new News Scroller. Select the "Use RSS feed" checkbox.and paste the URL you copied above into the textbox. ![]() Step 6. (Final Step) Set the transition rffect style to be a News Fader rather than a News Scroller. ![]() |
