RSS Ticker FAQ's

Why not use just static HTML?
You have limited space on your web page. Our RSS ticker preserves space. In addition, since it has a fixed width and height, your website will always look the same regardless of the number of news items.
I like the ability to easily manage my news items but I don't like the scrolling. Can I have just a news strip with no scrolling?
Thats simple, just set the transition style to Fade and the height to be enough so that all the news items fit.

Can I put more than one RSS Ticker on my webpage?
Yes, you can put as many RSS tickers as you want on a single webpage.
Can I format my news item with HTML?
Yes, the non-RSS news item can contain all the basic HTML tags. You can even insert images with the <img...> tag. For the RSS news items, we automatically scrape the HTML tags out of the text, because more often than not, the images are simply too large for the RSS Ticker.
When would I use RSS?
Typically, you would use RSS when you wish to display news from a third party. If you want to simply update news items for your own site, then RSS is probably overkill.
Can I have more than one RSS feed in one RSS Ticker?
Yes you can. Check out the How To titled How to Add More than One RSS Feed to a RSS Ticker.
What should I do if my RSS Ticker starts acting jumpy or the text starts looking squished?
Check out the How To titled How to Avoid Having a Jumpy or Squished RSS Ticker.
I don't need a news ticker. Can I use this software for just generating RSS feeds?
Yes, it is not necessary that you deploy the News Ticker to get the RSS feed.
Where can I get more information on RSS?
A good place to start is Dan Bricklin's site. He has a very good RSS tutorial introduction.
I have a general question that is not specific to the RSS Ticker pastie. Where do I go?
Go to the General WebPasties FAQ's page for pre-sales and general questions.
